Decades of experimentation recently met with a conclusive breakthrough in self-repairing alloys, perfect for combat robots likely to be in long-term service. I have been hesitant to deploy this technology, however, as adoption by hostile Derelicts could make them significantly more difficult to deal with. The most promising use of this technology beyond its application to standard armors has been the SHELL Armor prototype.
