Launched as part of the Interstellar Exploration Fleet in 2140, the Centaurus was scheduled to arrive in the Alpha Centauri System in 2164. Communications ceased in 2162 with no indication as to the reason. A subsequent probe sent along the ship's last known path found no evidence of the Centaurus.
