A relatively small utility subcategory purely for holding resources or other components. Normally these are used to expand capacity while attached, but in the case of energy and matter storage they can also be detached with their contents intact. Use the normal activation/deactivation command to toggle the part's LOAD state. If removed while active, such a part will first attempt to fill itself to capacity. This method can be used to store backup resources in inventory. Non-attached storage components show their current contents in parenthesis. Surplus collected matter and generated energy will also be automatically transferred to non-full storage units in inventory, but cannot be accessed for use unless those parts are attached. Note that even if the LOAD state is inactive when detaching a container, surplus resources will still be automatically loaded if post-detachment capacity will be insufficient to contain them.
