Scrapyard is the first level of the game -11 and the location the Cogmind re-awakens in. Presumably this area is new as you cannot search for the scrapyard in any console, and the area is being progressively dug out as you walk around. This area is used to get some basic items at the start of the game and fill up on matter. There is only one exit on this level it leads directly to Materials.
Occasionally Revision 17 may be encountered here, having watched the Cogmind being transported there. This independent bot will provide a little of game story but quickly leaves.
Guaranteed items
- Two random wheels (possible types: Wheel, Compact Wheel, Armored Wheel)
- Two Aluminum Legs
- Two Light Treads
- Two engines (either Ion Engine or its light variant)
- Three random weapons (possible types: Light Assault Rifle, Assault Rifle, Small Laser, Medium Laser, EM Pulse Gun)
- Plentiful matter
Other items may be gotten by attacking maintenance robots. These are:
- Medium Matter Storage Unit from workers.
- Small Storage Unit and Tractor Beam from recyclers.
- Mining Laser, Improved Terrain Scanner and Seismic Analyzer from tunnelers.
Those are all possible parts available in scrapyard.

, you can skip most of the starting item gathering. This will automatically gather all matter, equip a pair of legs, a engine, two weapons, and a Small Storage Unit. All other items will be placed in the inventory. You will then spawn directly next to the stairs.
