The branch was Testing, and I dove in because alert was getting high in Research and I needed to shake some of that heat ASAP.
Before heading in I was a pretty deadly Teslabot ripping through even Hunters. (Ooh I hate those things, so it was really satisfying to just corrupt them all to death!)
And I hacked the exit locations, but while getting surrounded and trying to dig-search for another nearby room or corridor I got myself just a
little stuck xD
There was a lot more out there, and I chopped my way out northeast while some of these guys got trapped or killed, then fought off the rest and made my way back around the north side to those western stairs (the way I should've gone in the first place...).
In Testing I was mainly worried about getting out, but sheesh this is a good seed--I kept finding awesome weapons, and one of them saved my life.
Both my Lrg. Storage were about to go after having used them most of the run, and I was walking between two Researchers to pick up one I saw on the floor when *zap*, a misfire alerted both of them and I got scanned! I wasn't in great shape and didn't feel confident in taking on CPs, but shortly before they arrived I happened upon my savior, the Imp. Potential Cannon.
Damn Researchers... (at least my Gamma Rifles made short work of them)
I've never actually used one of these before, and wow is it good. I picked it up just as the CPs entered, and didn't have the power to fire it, but of course nearby there were some full Exp. Energy Wells so I braved a few EMDS shots to grab it and ZZZRRRRRAAAAABOOOM--took out both of those oh-so-deadly bots in no time
It was glorious. Did I mention I had a Capacitor, too?
More patrols were encountered between me and the exit.
ZZZRRRRRAAAAABOOOM!
Before long I lost
all of my storage capacity, but wasn't in too bad a shape since I didn't really need much of my inventory anyway. Just backups, pfft. So many nice Testing weapons, though! (Cld. Nova... Z-Bomb...)
I ended up doing the rest of the run with just a basic 4-slot inventory.
Second set of CPs before I made it to Access:
