Welcome SALZHERZ, and thank you for that heartening vote of confidence.

I'm working on new ways to kill you right now, in fact :P. You'll be able to read all about them next week on the blog. Just need to do a bit more tweaking to ensure they're fair... More fun on the way!

And as much as I'd like to take my time, there's still so much to do and yet I have to work within realistic financial constraints, so we'll see what happens. For now I've let on a small amount of feature creep, but beginning with Alpha 4 I really need to tone that down and get to the real meat of the world expansions!

Thank you !
I know that no "opening sequence was planned", according to a blog entry (?), but after watching this 6 times im still impressed. So much artwork, so much style, and for sure the SOUND is just amazing.
And one thing for sure, the core game will cry for expansions, like Tales of Maj'Eyal.
All the best, Salzherz.

True, I did say it originally called for just being dropped into the game, but the intro as is gives some background and is entirely in-theme, so I think it turned out nicely. What I really wanted to avoid was any kind of title screen, but later realized that seemed like a really bad idea from a branding perspective (for dev new to the commercial scene). Took about a week to make that intro, and I plan to make ending sequences even more involved than that! (The current ending is a placeholder, but has cool animations in its own right =p)

So much artwork, so much style, and for sure the SOUND is just amazing.
I'm glad you think so, because the sound is one of those things that most roguelikes (or even indie games in general) just don't do, or don't do well. I think it's easily one of the most valuable parts of the experience.

And one thing for sure, the core game will cry for expansions, like Tales of Maj'Eyal.

There are many ways the story can be expanded, as you'll see--I can imagine players will want to know what happens after the ending, and to robots you'll be meeting later once the story elements are in place.

Onwards!
