Brainstorm uses for the new Chronowheel. Good and bad. Not ranked within tiers.

Tier 1 - Best uses:

- Two attempts (or a freeroll) at killing DM for hackware (can combine with DC below)
- Peek at DC for branch layout
- Peek at CRM in S7/Q/A0 for AA identification and locations
- Peek at Armory + Lab to check for favourable loot (can combine with laserdance below)
- Peek at SGEMP data in Access before dropping SGEMP and taking SW

Tier 2 - Good alternatives:

- Two attempts at favourable core expander result
- Two attempts at one-shotting MC/Arch with ST(s)
- Two attempts at killing Zh
- Freeroll lab laserdance without A7 core
- Freeroll defeating MC phase 2 fast enough
- Enter a floor such as Access and obtain rapid recon (maybe by spamming tele; maybe combine with IRs to extend effect)

So can I get a better explanation of those options? I'm not used to all the short form and terms.

Yeah there are quite a few abbreviations used by the community now, having been at the chatting and theorycrafting for many years. Almost like we need a glossary for new members in that regard

Abbreviations above:
DM - Dataminer
DC - Data Conduit
CRM - Core Reset Matrix
S7 - Section 7
Q - Quarantine
A0 - Access_0
SW - Sigix Warrior
Arch - Architect
ST - Sigix Terminator
Zh - Zhirov
MC - MAIN.C
IR - Integrity Redistributor

Thing is, most abbreviations being used should be fairly obvious if you've encountered the content before, but many tend to involve difficult or hidden areas that lots of players may not have even seen before.

Chronowheel isn't especially useful overall, not compared to other EX tech, so I wouldn't worry about trying to use it. This thread was just zxc collecting ideas when we were theorycrafting about potential uses throughout the world, especially in extended/special areas where it could possibly help tip the balance of something really important in your favor.

Another relevant option, for the sake of completeness: You can do a 1000 damage vortex explosion (distributed across 10 chunks) of vortex damage in about a 16-ish tile radius by using SR on it. I don't know if there are any practical uses for that, but I suspect it might be relevant to some corner cases.
