April Fools event (2020)
« on: March 26, 2020, 06:42:59 AM »

I remember watching this doom 1 video where this guy played as the demons and his goal was to defeat Doom Guy.

Could it be possible for a April Fools mode where you play as the Enemy Robots and your goal is to eliminate Cogmind.

Not really possible now, no. For that you'd first need an AI that can play the game, preferably as well as a player! I'm we're part of the way there based on previous developments, but

Really there are already dozens of ideas for special events, and only so many times to go around :P

Of course, one of the events randomly mentioned on Discord happens to be the one I originally chose for this year and tried to build, then wrote about after only releasing it to patrons because I decided it wasn't quite good enough.

Also: Developing a big event takes weeks or months, and 4/1 is literally 6 days away xD

Makes sense. Good luck with your current Apr Fools event build.
