As can be seen in the attached screenshot, when tiles that were seen before using a Core Reset Matrix are detected by terrain scanners, they aren't set to green but to their real colour.
This was from Beta 10.2, and i haven't yet tried it on Beta 11.1, so i don't know if it was fixed since, whether directly or indirectly by the terrain scanner visual effect QoL change.

Wow, good catch (god the ancient bugs are always so specific xD).

Will also have to actually reset the value that determines whether they should appear green or not, which was a whole separate matrix that had to be set up for that purpose, aside from the normal data...

(god the ancient bugs are always so specific xD).
I'd guess it's because the architecture was simpler back then, so the bugs that were missed at that time, while simple, had to be specific to in order to survive, or something like that? I'm not sure how to best explain what i mean.

Yeah I know what you mean, and certainly that happens sometimes (although not quite applicable in this particular case).
