Skipping some animations.
« on: December 27, 2017, 09:09:26 AM »

I'd like to be able to skip world map animation (gets somewhat long when I get 20+ regions explored) or interactive machines opening animations.

Yeah this is something I've considered and will continue to have on the list. I would've added something like this already if it were easy. Sadly it is not :P (The map is actually drawn using scripted procedural animations, so to "skip the animation" I'd have to write entirely new code to do it from scratch. There is no skipping or even speeding up.)

interactive machines opening animations.
This I've wanted to keep as is, because from a design standpoint it's thematic and can be somewhat suspenseful (or at least gives you a short pause for thought), it only takes a couple seconds, and you don't open a bunch in rapid succession anyway.
