What's your opinion on different propulsion types for combat purposes? Specifically treads vs legs, I suppose.

this seed was my most successful run ever! also the first time i managed to get melee and/or flight running. lost my flight units on -2, but managed to swap in a set of eight legs and reconfigure myself as a gunbot; sadly, wasn't able to find any way off the level, and eventually died to a pack of sages. i'd just picked up a gamma launcher, but didn't realize it'd be completely ineffective against them... before i realized, i was half-naked, and it only went downhill from there.
