Title: Wheee! ~~ Intentionally trigger a Chute Trap.
Post by: Gobbopathe on May 08, 2019, 11:40:26 AM
Quick question (I thought there was a topic for quick questions to not create a new one each time) : I would have thought "Intentionally trigger a Chute Trap." meant simply forcing yourself falling into one. But apparently not, since it did not validate the achievement.
Is it related to hacking a serf to drop something in it ?

Stepping onto one you know is there is not enough. I believe you have to step on it without triggering it then use > to trigger it manually.

Indeed, I should try that, thanks

Correct, you're looking at the old description for that achievement, Gobbopathe, which was a little ambiguous (from the text formatting it looks like you copied it from my post last year :P). In Beta 8 the description was later changed to the more specific "Manually trigger a Chute Trap."

That's an achievement not only because it's something you might want to do for strategic purposes, but was also intended to ensure players eventually know that command :)

For the most recent versions of achievements and descriptions, use Steam or the in-game Achievements UI, since some have since been adjusted.
