how to swap parts

I am crazy or is there no way to just swap out a part that has low integrity? I would like to keep my system restoration module for later thank you very much game, but apparently my only option is to discard it?? when honestly dropping it on the ground would be just fine even if I didn't want it

Integrity has no impact on that, no. System Restoration Modules are marked "FRAGILE" in their status, and have a colon (':') next to them in your parts list. The meaning of this is included in the tutorial messages the first time you attach such a part, but also when you try to swap or remove these it does also show you an interface message to remind you that removing it for any purpose will destroy it, and you need to perform the action again to confirm that's what you really want to do.

To fully use it up you'll have to just leave it on, or it's a choice of maybe not attaching it until later when you have even more need for it.

A portion of parts cannot be safely removed, including all Processors and Hackware.
