dang this community is dope, took me two seconds of skimming the forums to find my issue (steam saved a corrupted save and the game wouldn't start). immediately fixed the issue, and had zero issue booting it up. awesome stuff now i can get back to cogging around

Welcome squiddy! That occasional Steam issue is so annoying xD

Turning off the cloud is best, but obviously quite useful for some folks, and at least there are the local backups for emergencies...
