i thought the theme i posted prior kinda sucked so i tried my best to apply the Black Rain V3 styling to the Burnt theme to make a new one that looks vaguely like it at my repository (click here) (so that the changes can be seen via commits)
this one kinda went more towards the PHP part but everything seems to work as normal but i still may have made a human error somewhere
its not exactly Black Rain but it looks close to it so

the image can be clicked (or just use https://github.com/mc-oofert/sagetheme) , and yes it is Burnt
also i may have directly overwrote certain variables on some elements because i either:
1. forgot
2. the variable didnt fit
regardless you can view all changes by checking the commits
also still might have some missing colors

even if they were too slow it would still be interesting to see barely functional (might fall apart the lightest sneeze because of being shot like a million times) reprogrammed derelicts patrol caves as a minor threat

not so much proper feedback but i wanted to mention that i was attempting to imitate the really good Black Rain V3 for SMF 2.1 used previously for the forum and absolutely got destroyed by the coding practices in Curve V2 so i settled for imitating the grid sages site on top of the burnt theme

the coloring is not perfect and i also couldnt find a good replacement for the board icons but it should be doable
so i uploaded the thing on github (so its possible to see the changes, security and stuff) on top of the original theme (license says do whatever but keep license intact) but im thinking of just deleting the repo later if its not any good

i havent had the opportunity to look in depth at how the game ai works with assimilation so i dont know if this is a thing but i think it would be cool if bots assimilated by a programmer (most likely 0b10) were made to follow it/added to its squad
it would be interesting to see a programmer with a hacked derelict or two in caves but it would be decently rare because bots usually die before being core disrupted

i went into the exiles and this zionites heat started to spike uncontrollably and if the RNG was right the heat damage wouldve also killed them
i dont think bots are randomly supposed to get melted by heat due to whatever cause on map load

I see most of the 0b10 parts as obsolete (not just the rating 0 ones) or not fitting into MC's current doctrine but it's fun to imagine.  For example a low-powered transmission jammer could be kinda good on -9 for a melee build but you get the basic jammer so soon that it wouldn't matter.

they could easily appear damaged in recycling or just kept by various derelicts

thats a fair explanation but it still leaves me slightly disappointed in that department

so ok dont call me an ideasguy for this one but what if REXPaint was on github (so those who wish for said features can either PR or fork)
i think theres a way to add secret files on github or alternatively just put the c++ binary of (rogue engine x/ whatever you dont want people to have but still needed to compile) in there

although personally i have no clue how you have it set up so it may be easier said than done or you just (more likely) dont want to do that

If you collapse a folder that holds some other folders, it only hides images in that folder but folders are unaffected
Also would be great if it remembered whether folders were collapsed when starting anyway

I made a few cogmind gifs with ezgif and rexpaint using a font that took honestly too long to move around from the Cogmind B14( or B14? not sure) tileset
No clue if im allowed to share the editted tileset for others though
I posted these in the roguelikes discord but thought i could put them here too

Bugs / [b14] Warlord gets stuck if he cannot swap

Warlord, when tactically retreating into the exit (running away like a scared little serf) during the counterattack will get stuck if the only way forward contains an ally he cannot swap with (just a guess, no clue, but digging out the other corridor he got stuck in helped)
this will result in him and his boys standing idly forever until the offender is somehow moved

This save was taken when warlord got stuck for the 1st time and reloading somehow fixed it but i believe if you let him move to the next corridor he gets stuck again for some reason

a few days ago i started drawing random prefabs and turns out placing tiles/letters in this case is pretty fun
several of them are not all too serious (and one is outright a joke)
i thought about sharing them here

fonts are loaded normally; maybe it could use whatever is used get the font directory if it is different?

Running rexpaint from windows search makes no saved images (stuff in the images dir) appear in the Browse tab
this is probably like some sort of working directory magic

(apparently working directory is system32 if you run it from windows search??)

If the DSF gets locked down the associated terminals could also turn off to help tell if theyre locked down if you forgot about the alert

the drawbacks would be worth it anyway
it could be somewhat unreliable by the nature of being a launcher so you miss and hit a wall next to you
or alerted bots could just increase alert

if you mine out the rocks in a room that started filled with rocks before the excavators do it the engineers will fill in the missing rocks with rocks
thats pretty annoying if youre trying to get to the subcaves exit fast

found on the subcaves exit materials prefab via mining with mining laser
