Strange. Because of your another post (awesome pacifist win), I think you know the core mechanism of Cogmind - Unless you mess with the world, it's calm. Well, at least, within the main floors. No illogic and almost everything is controllable. Would you tell about concrete situations?

I voted to kinetic gun, but recently I'm into the feeling of thermal and EM, which indirectly insta-kill hostiles instead of tearing them. It's so...SciFi-style. (Who said cheesy? :D) While loving 'shooting bullets' feeling of kinetic too, I have a fatal problem: poor matter management. But down-to-earth coolness of 'Gauss' always forces me pick it up. Magnetic acceleration mass weapons, man's dream. After all, weapons in this game are well-balanced, so my favorite changes every time. EM launcher is the only exception. It's not that I dislike it, but haven't yet found how to use properly. I would do test run someday.

Swarmers: their slowness put me in a cold sweat rather than their fast. Since they patrol very slowly and in a widely spreading group, it is difficult to pass around and can be big threat to stealth run, though they rarely be cause of death directly. Or I might have to attack them quckly even in stealth run. Hmm.
