Most humiliating run ever. :(
I was trying to find a stockpile of lrg. or med. storage units, but after climbing to -8 Materials, I still couldn't find any! That results in a lack of backup weapons and armor, which isn't so bad as long as I don't get into much trouble.
And yet here I am, in a deep, deep trouble. Operators kept crying out for reinforcements, then watchers threw all those armies toward my direction, and those ARC's came in nonstop until I'm left almost dead. Although I survived with only 4 HP (yet fully equipped from leftover loots), a lone hunter found me and proceeded to aim at my core. A single shot is all it's needed to take me down.

Since there's only one storage stockpile per depth, even for combat run (which I always do :P) if I don't luck into finding any along the way I won't bother going out of my way to find one, since you can always stock up via haulers later on. If you really have to have storage early on, the alternative is to just take out Materials Haulers and go with mediums for a while. Mediums are easy to find and provide good enough storage for early-game confrontations.
Late to the party, as usual. Coming into this run, I decided, "I'm going to be a gunner, no flight this time." Then promptly passed up several great opportunities to get into a solid flight build. I got into the caves I found a
